Review Process

Peer Review Process

First Stage

Upon receipt of a manuscript, the editor will review it within a maximum period of 15 days. The editor will verify that the submission complies with the requirements specified in the "Author Guidelines" section. If compliant, it will be accepted and proceed to the Second Stage. In case of non-compliance with any established guidelines, it will be returned with an editorial report for adjustments and resubmission.

Second Stage

Following approval by the Journal Editor, manuscripts will be sent to the Scientific Committee for evaluation by peer reviewers (academic-scientific double-blind review) within the relevant field of knowledge.

Scientific Committee members will read and evaluate manuscripts as academic-scientific peers, taking into account approach originality, scientific and methodological rigor, topic currency, significance of contributions, as well as adherence to academic writing standards. Reviewers will have a minimum of 15 days and a maximum of 30 days to submit their evaluation.

If matching peer reviewers in the specific field of knowledge are not available, the Editorial Board will inform the authors and initiate a search and outreach process for suitable external academics. If no appropriate reviewer is found, the authors will be notified so they may consider submitting the manuscript to another journal.

The double-blind peer review process is strictly confidential and conveyed through a detailed report. The final decision may be:

  • a) Acceptance for publication.
  • b) Conditional acceptance (accepted with modifications): which will require adjustments that may or may not be subjected to a new evaluation (according to the reviewers' decision).
  • c) Rejection of the article.

In the case of acceptance, the Editorial Board will issue an official acceptance certificate to the primary author containing the article title, signatory author(s), and publication cataloging information. This certificate will be sent via institutional email or through the OJS system.

If the article receives conditional acceptance or rejection, the Editorial Board will send confidential and anonymized review reports to the primary author via email or OJS so that corresponding adjustments can be made.

Authors are at complete liberty to make or refrain from making corrections and to restart the evaluation process according to the steps outlined above.

The journal will only publish fully accepted articles. Submissions accepted after the release of a given issue due to timing constraints will remain pending for publication in the subsequent issue.

In case of conflicting reviewer reports, the Editorial Board will assign the manuscript to a new external evaluation following field-specific criteria.

If authors disagree on any aspect with the Editorial Board, they may request the cancellation of a pending publication; however, published articles cannot be withdrawn.

Opinions expressed in published articles are the sole responsibility of the authors and do not reflect the stance of the Editorial Board or the Scientific Committee. Authors declare awareness of and adherence to the journal's Code of Ethics based on COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

The reproduction of published content from scientific articles is authorized, provided the original source and origin journal are properly cited.
