A total of 199 students (M = 22, SD: 2.3) from a public university in Jalisco, Mexico, participated in a non-experimental, cross-sectional, analytical design. An ad hoc questionnaire was used for sociodemographic data. Digital violence was assessed with the Partner Cyber Abuse Questionnaire and the WHO Quality of Life questionnaire in its brief version. Results indicate in ANOVA analysis significant differences (p < .001) and large effect sizes in variables such as age, marital status and career. These findings highlight the need to address digital violence in university settings to improve the quality of life of female students with the aim of improving the approach to victims in different health settings.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 La Saeta Universitaria Académica y de Investigaciónhttps://www.unae.edu.py/ojs/index.php/saetauniversitaria/article/view/526Onychophagia and Associated Psychological Factors in Adolescents: A Comparison Between Urban and Rural Areas in the District of Caaguazú, Paraguay2025-07-10T14:36:15+00:00Cristhian Ariel Flecha Giménezcristhianariel2@gmail.com
Onychophagia is a common habit among adolescents and is associated with psychological factors such as stress and anxiety. This comparative study aimed to analyze the prevalence of onychophagia and its relationship with psychological variables in students from two schools in the district of Caaguazú: one located in an urban area and the other in a rural area. A quantitative, cross-sectional, and correlational design was applied, with a sample of 320 adolescents aged between 13 and 18 years. The Beck Anxiety Inventory for Youth (BAI-Y), the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), and an onychophagia questionnaire were used. The results show a higher prevalence of onychophagia in the urban area (61.9%) compared to the rural area (49.4%), with significant associations with moderate/severe anxiety and high stress levels. Implications for school-based psychological interventions are discussed.

2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 La Saeta Universitaria Académica y de Investigaciónhttps://www.unae.edu.py/ojs/index.php/saetauniversitaria/article/view/524PROOFREADERS' ATTITUDES TOWARDS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: A PRELIMINARY STUDY2025-07-10T14:36:16+00:00Ismael Ninaismaelnina32@gmail.com
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) has generated debates in different areas of knowledge, and proofreading is no exception. This research set out to analyze the attitudes of proofreaders about the use of AI in their professional work. A quantitative approach with a descriptive-cross-sectional design was adopted and a closed-ended questionnaire survey was applied to a sample of 22 proofreaders. Participants rated AI as moderately effective in detecting spelling and grammatical errors, but less efficient in aspects such as typographical adequacy and vocabulary enrichment. In addition, they expressed mostly unfavorable attitudes toward AI's ability to interpret contexts or apply linguistic criteria with the accuracy of a human professional. Regarding job impact, most did not express concern about a possible replacement of proofreaders or a decrease in service quality. These findings show that, although AI offers certain operational advantages, it does not yet reach the complexity of human judgment. It is concluded that artificial intelligence is perceived as a useful but limited support tool that does not replace the specialized work of the professional proofreader or compromise his or her role in the editorial process.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 La Saeta Universitaria Académica y de Investigaciónhttps://www.unae.edu.py/ojs/index.php/saetauniversitaria/article/view/492BUILDING THE TERRITORY: SURVEYING AND SECURITY IN REAL ESTATE LAW2025-07-10T14:36:19+00:00Andrea Riosarios@fiuna.edu.py
This study analyzes the contribution of surveying to territorial development, highlighting its impact on legal security and land management in Paraguay. Through a bibliographic review and analysis of official data, methodological foundations were established to identify key elements such as measurement accuracy, the comparison of international and local standards on topographic tolerances, and the role of technological advancements in the field. The study examines how georeferencing and boundary marking materialize property rights, preventing conflicts and ensuring territorial integrity. The research reveals significant differences between international and Paraguayan standards regarding measurement tolerances. While international standards allow error margins without requiring rectifications, in Paraguay rectification is mandatory in cases of property mutations. The implementation of the Active National Geodetic Network is a central component in strengthening the country's territorial framework, key to improving geographic measurement precision, updating cadastral records, and promoting efficient public administration. Furthermore, this network facilitates the development of land-use planning policies, risk management in vulnerable areas, and economic growth through a reliable technical foundation for local and foreign investment. Institutions such as the National Cadastre Service and the Geographic Military Service Directorate will directly benefit, enhancing their planning capacity in sectors such as agriculture, mining, and infrastructure. In this context, the geographer plays a fundamental role in translating the provisions of property titles into tangible realities. This process involves interpreting, correcting errors, and comparing titles with physical land conditions to ensure coherence between the two. Surveying, as a technical discipline, not only provides essential tools for resolving territorial disputes but also contributes to the country's sustainable development through the efficient integration of geospatial resources.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 La Saeta Universitaria Académica y de Investigaciónhttps://www.unae.edu.py/ojs/index.php/saetauniversitaria/article/view/499HISTÓRIAS DE AUTORES DA REGIÃO GUARANI: A LITERARY BRIDGE BETWEEN ARGENTINA, BRAZIL AND PARAGUAI2025-07-10T14:36:18+00:00Nicolás Omar Borgmannn.borgmann@hotmail.comRomina Soledad Macenchukprofemacenchuk@gmail.com
This essay analyzes the "Stories by Authors of the Guaraní Region" project, a 1992 literary initiative that brought together 40 authors from Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay with the goal of rescuing and disseminating the rich narrative tradition of the Guaraní region. This project, promoted by the newspaper El Territorio with support from the Lottery and Casino Institute of Misiones, stood out for its multilingual approach: Spanish, Portuguese, and Guaraní. The collection not only democratized access to regional literature but also promoted the appreciation of local writers, who often face geographic and cultural isolation. Through translation, the project facilitated intercultural dialogue and allowed stories to cross borders and unite the communities of the Triple Frontier. The essay also addresses the concept of literary regionalism, which seeks to represent the particularities of a region, and how this project became a model of coexistence and cooperation in South America. Despite the challenges faced by regional authors, such as lack of access to publishing channels and the marginalization of their works, "Tales by Authors of the Guaraní Region" stands as an inspiring example of how literature can be a powerful tool for cultural integration and the valorization of local identities.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 La Saeta Universitaria Académica y de Investigaciónhttps://www.unae.edu.py/ojs/index.php/saetauniversitaria/article/view/548SCIENCE FOR SOCIETY2025-07-10T14:36:14+00:00Matías Deniscidunae@unae.edu.py
Tras haber recibido 30 manuscritos, nos complace poner a disposición de la sociedad el siguiente volumen 14 número 1 correspondiente a los meses enero-junio de 2025.
