empresas encuestadas incorporó innovación tecnológica para adecuarse a las nuevas
maneras de trabajar en la pandemia, la reinvención de las empresas encuestadas fue
mediante inversiones en infraestructura, maquinarias, innovación, tecnología,
capacitaciones, contratación de servicios tercerizados entre otros. Se concluye que la
inversión y la innovación fueron claves para la reinvención y supervivencia de las Micros,
Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas durante la pandemia del coronavirus. Se recomienda la
inversión en tecnología e innovación, así también una investigación similar a nivel país
considerando que cada departamento tiene sus propias características.

Abstract
Reinvention of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The relevance of the research lies
in making known the survival and reinvention capacity of many of them in times of the
coronavirus pandemic. The general objective of this research was to find out reinvention
alternatives for survival in times of the coronavirus pandemic of the Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises of the Central Department of Paraguay between 2020 and 2021. The
research approach was quantitative and qualitative. The non-experimental design, cross-
sectional - prospective, with documentary and field modality. The method was deductive,
the explanatory level, the cause-effect relationships between the dependent and
independent variables were analyzed. Main findings: the mandatory isolation negatively
affected the economy and in different ways the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises;
such as a drop in sales, delay in pending collections, delay in payment of obligations,
decrease in production, inability to pay salaries, among others. Among the measures
adopted, some can be mentioned, such as the reduction of working hours, diversification
of services, loans, change of traditional advertising, reduction of employees, reduction of
infrastructure (rents), more than half of the companies surveyed incorporated
technological innovation to adapt to the new ways of working in the pandemic, the
